Why I am an atheist
by Awakened at Gilead insomeone (a born-again exjw) on youtube asked me why i was an atheist... i crafted a brief response... it follows:.
1. religious reason: there is no proof for god outside of the bible.
once i dropped my belief in the bible, the judeo-christian concept of god fell apart like a house of cards.

1975 Was Brought Up At the Meeting

Should have brought up the proclamation made by the GB in the early 1930's at the Assemblies that millions now living will never die.
Pretty much everyone who heard those talks are dead now.
Oh well it did sell quite a few magazines and brought in a big chunk of money.

Knocking on doors.....How successful is it?

i actually had my interest sparked with the jw's by family members and freinds that were jw's.. were you a statistic of the knock at the door?.

Fear , guilt , fear and more guilt and the quickly impending Armageddon on the horizon,
all publishing is done for free, yes you might say they had the perfect business model going for them
for a long time . The converted suckers did most of the work for them, buying and selling their products,
and not to mention donations given to them over all those years.
Adds up to a lot of cash once you think about it, now I hear they want all of the property tittles of where
the Kingdom Halls are situated turned over and put in their name , which could fetch them hundreds of millions in assets.
The over all power and wealth of any given religion such as this is astonishing when you step back and take a look at it.
But I guess thats what drives men to do this in the first place.

All referring to Armageddon, The Great Tribulation, etc. Some of the stuff in them would get them referred to a mental hospital. For lock up, not just treatment. I'm talking full out crazy talk. Tom Cruise would be proud !
This nuttiness you speak of VIII has been going on since the beginning of the JWS for almost 100 years, this is what mental indoctrination is
and has been perpetrated by the editors of this religious publishing house. Simply put Armageddon and the end of the world sells $$$.
VIII it would not be surprising if this apocalyptic cult exploited this economic recession as a spring board that the end is coming....count on it
